


Liz has advised a range of fast-growth global technology, new media, and financial services companies including HP, Silicon Graphics, Johnson Electric, CNBC Asia Business News, C|Net, Citigroup, ABN-AMRO Bank, and Printronix, as well as entrepreneurial ventures such as InnerWireless, LightPointe, Lumenaré, Pharmquest, BlueRoads, ClickShift, Sana Security, TriCipher, SatisFusion, SonicWall, and Virtutech.
Currently based in Silicon Valley, Liz previously spent 8 years in Asia (Singapore & Japan) where she headed the strategy practice of e-business consultancy, Media Arts, and co-founded the Asia-Pacific practice of international routes-to-market management consultancy, VIA International. At Media Arts, she established a strategy arm with a particular focus on Internet-enabled sales and marketing infrastructure and knowledge management. With VIA, she led Asia-Pacific marketing and channel strategy engagements for global clients, and advised/incubated and assisted in fund-raising for technology-based start-up ventures.
Prior to her time in Asia, Liz served as Business Development Manager in Mitsubishi International Corporation’s (MIC) Silicon Valley operation with responsibility for identifying and evaluating opportunities with early stage technology companies in the computer, communications, semiconductor, software, and contract manufacturing industries.
Liz is a trained practitioner in the Bell-Mason Systems for Venture Development, a proven framework for diagnosing trouble spots and highlighting the competitive strengths and capabilities of both established and entrepreneurial ventures. She also works closely with the portfolio companies of venture capital firms such as Sevin Rosen Funds and El Dorado ventures. Liz earned an M.B.A. in marketing and finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an honors undergraduate degree from Harvard College.


Rosemary has led consulting engagements focused on the development of strategies for mainframe/workstation, PC, SW, semiconductor, communications, security, Internet, digital lifestyle and e-commerce products and services for clients in the US, Europe, and Asia.
Over the years, Rosemary has consulted with management teams in large global corporations such as Hitachi, National Semiconductor, Adobe, AMD, Sun Microsystems, IBM, SGI, Oracle, Toshiba and HP. Most recently, her consulting efforts have focused on developing positioning and market entry strategies and supporting plans for venture-backed companies such as Southampton Photonics, Fuego, Pharmquest, Neoforma, LightConnect, Innerwireless, BeVocal, NovusEdge, LightPointe, Virtutech, Gloo Labs, FusionOne, and Epicentric.
Prior to becoming a strategic marketing consultant, Rosemary held a variety of executive management positions with global responsibilities at multinational firms like Memorex, Intel, Zilog, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. In those companies she was responsible for strategic planning, marketing and sales/channel management functions. Upon leaving the industry, she joined the high tech marketing consultancy, Regis Mckenna, Inc., where she was a partner for five years. During that time, she led the Semiconductor and Japan practices and was responsible for managing the firm’s strategic partnership with Mitsubishi International. In addition to her MarketFocus consulting, Rosemary joined the venture capital firm, Sevin Rosen Funds, in 2000 as a Venture Partner to consult with the firm’s portfolio companies. During her stint there, she was also involved with the development and delivery of the Sevin Rosen Funds’ CEO Summits and Marketing and Sales Roundtables.
Rosemary has co-authored two articles–”Service: a Differentiator in the 90s” and “Successful Strategic Alliances in Europe.” She is invited regularly to speak at industry forums and participate as a guest lecturer in programs at Stanford, Pepperdine, and the University of California at Berkeley. She serves on the advisory boards of venture backed startup companies and is on the Board of Directors of the Silicon Valley Association for Start-up Entrepreneurs. She is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Association for Corporate Growth, the Executive Advisory Boards of the Software Development Forum and Nokia’s Innovent Ventures. Rosemary earned a B.A. degree from Arizona State University and an M.A. from San Jose State University.
